Glazed porcelain sculpture in the form of a layer cake, two of the layers comprised of a series of red tongues each on a layer of "cake" and resting on an old English ironstone plate, on the top a layer of "cake" with thick white frosting, five additional tongues and a series of multicolored spikes sticking any which way out of the frosting.
Polychrome (red and blue) in abstract form applied to center of paper; gray rays
Pink gouache applied, with varying degrees of opacity, to paper over two vertical lines approximately 1 1/2 inches from either end. Paper is scored vertically in the approximate center and scored 1 7/8 inches from left side.
A black and white photograph shows two brushstrokes form a white “L”from top to right. The white paints reveal the coarse texture of the support.
