This black and white photograph shows a partial view of an airshaft of a brick building. The image looks down into the airshaft, where mechanical equipment, a vertical pipe, and two lines hung with laundry can be seen. The floor of the airshaft is littered with garbage. A shadow runs across the scene.
An abstract painting is mainly covered with grey-black color. The upper central canvas reveals green color with green basketballs pattern in different shades. On the left, a dark purple cloud shaped form covers a grid or chain pattern (light red, yellow, white against blue background). The lower part is covered with repeated text in black “I CANT BREATH” against a yellow background. The bottom of canvas is covered with greyish green pigment.
A black and white photograph of a space with a camera obscura image on the wall where a framed long horizontal photograph hangs above a wooden desk and chair. The inverted projected image is of the nearby area of Mill Valley in Lawrence, Massachusetts. The inverted multi story brick building structures on either side of the desk create an illusion of an alley or street. Rows of upside down arched windows converge to an unseen point on the wall. The wood grain of the desk and chair along with the floor board pattern are illuminated by the small source of light from the camera obscura.
