The Museum Ball

The 64th Annual Museum Ball:
Beyond the Ordinary will be held on Saturday, May 2, 2020

Inspired by the colorful decadence of Severin Roesen’s Fruit Still Life (1865), this year’s Museum Ball promises an evening that will delight the senses. Guests will enjoy a three-course seated dinner surrounded by art in the galleries and prepared by George McMillian III, Chef and Owner of FoodBar. Entertainment and dancing will follow on the Museum’s outdoor terrace with live music by The 12 South Band.

The Museum Ball is the Birmingham Museum of Art’s largest fundraiser and serves as an important opportunity not only to showcase the Museum’s exceptional collection, but also to highlight the significant programs and events the BMA brings to Birmingham. From school tours and community outreach, to innovative exhibitions and public programs, funds raised by the Museum Ball provide essential support for hundreds of educational initiatives carried out by the Museum each year.

Special thanks to 2020 Museum Ball Co-Chairs, Sallie Johnson, Sumner Johnson Rives, Garland Smith, and Lindsay Smith Puckett.
