The Museum Ball

The 67th Annual Museum Ball

Every extraordinary city boasts an extraordinary art museum, and Birmingham is no exception. With more than 27,000 works of art from across the globe, our world-class institution is the cornerstone of the Magic City’s rich cultural landscape, enhancing the quality of life for all its citizens.

The Museum Ball is the Birmingham Museum of Art’s largest fundraiser and serves as an important opportunity to not only showcase our magnificent collection, but also to highlight the outstanding programs and exhibitions the Museum brings to the City of Birmingham each year. Funding from the Ball provides critical resources for the Museum’s educational efforts and community outreach, enabling all ages to discover the world through art.

The Ball Co-Chairs, Chinelo Diké-Minor and Randall Minor, along with Stephanie and Houston Smith, have planned A Night of Enchantment, a festive black-tie evening inspired by the Museum’s upcoming Heroes and Villains: The Art of the Disney Costume exhibition. The evening will commence with a cocktail party, followed by a seated dinner prepared by Chef Rob McDaniel and Helen. Guests will then dance the night away to the music of the enduring crowd-favorite, To The 9s.

We hope you will join us on May 4 for an unforgettable evening of dinner and dancing. In addition to providing funds for arts education, your contribution will have a significant impact as we all continue to benefit from the Museum’s important role in the cultural life of our community.
