At the center of this circular, black and white print, a man wearing a hat, shirt, and pants harvests wheat with a scythe with multiple blades. Behind the field of wheat, nestled in the hills, are a group of farm buildings including three grain silos. At the bottom of the print is a small still life that includes implements related to farming including a water jug, a hay fork, a sickle, and a scythe.
This image is created with black ink on yellowed paper. It represents the façade of “The Bank for Savings & Trusts.” In the lower eighth of the image, there is an empty sidewalk and a small portion of the street.
Elderly bespectacled man, with a wry visage, in profile, facing left. He wears a brown full-brimmed hat and coat, blue workman's shirt and pants, and a red neckerchief. In his right hand, he carries a garden hoe. With his left arm he carries a green watering can, his arm looped through the handle.
