He wears black trousers and an olive green jacket over grey cardigan sweater and mustard yellow shirt with a buttoned collar. He is supported by a wooden crook cane which he holds with his left hand. The man addresses the viewer directly with his gaze. He appears to have a cataract in his proper right eye, which is milky white in contrast to his dark brown left eye.
