This mug was designed to commemorate the twenty-fifth anniversary of the wedding of Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip, held at Westminster Abbey on November 20, 1947. Richard Guyatt’s work for the souvenir market was highly praised and helped Wedgwood become a leading producer of commemorative wares.
