This image is created with black ink on paper. At the left of the image, the side or rear of a brick building is visible, with two flights of stairs leading up to it from the street. To the left of the building is a leafy tree and a series of power lines. In the street, which runs along the left of the sheet, two figures walk. The street moves down a hill, and houses, trees, and a valley can be seen in the background.
This landscape painting represents an expansive scene with two dogs on a foreground shore, and two men in a rowboat at the edge of a body of water heavily overgrown with water grasses. There are trees in the left foreground and behind the men, as well as an open body of water. On the bank of land across the body of water is a home situated in a landscape that includes low, rolling mountains.
