- Marks Sealed: The bottoms of most of the pieces are stamped "China" and also have the inscription: Jiaocheng (a place name), Qunji (Spring Record), Paohuan Diantong (Guaranteed Pure Copper)
- Inscription On the top of the lid is inscribed the name of the maker "Xiao Shan Shi Zuo" (Made by the Xiaoshan Family) along with a two-character inscription yet to be deciphered. The cover is also decorated with two Phoenix and numerous butterflies. There are also four large characters that form part of the decoration on the cover. They read: "Foods fitting for one morning." The four removable plates also have one-character inscriptions: "Water, Good Fortune, East", and undeciphered
