1. The Museum Art Exchange was a partnership between Warren Adelson and Jack Tanzer. The Nebraska Blakelock Inventory (NBI) paper card for 1978.209 has the note: “Museum Art Exchange, c/o Tanzer and Adelson, Address: Knoedler, 21st and 70th, NY, NY 10021.” Warren Adelson worked at Knoedler from 1972 until 1974, when he joined Coe Kerr Gallery. The Knoedler address provided for the Museum Exchange Program gives the dates “by 1972.” Norman Geske, primary researcher for the NBI, provided the following provenance of 1979.283 to the BMA in a letter on May 7, 1996: “Vose Galleries, Ira Spanierman, Museum Art Exchange; Coe Kerr Gallery.”
