Group Visits

Thank you for your interest in touring the Birmingham Museum of Art! We are developing a new gallery tour program at the Museum, and in order to build this initiative, we have paused all guided group tours until August of 2022.

We sincerely apologize for this inconvenience. In the meantime, we have created a wide array of print and digital activities to maximize your visit at the Museum. Check out our digital smartguide with behind-the-scenes video and audio or pick up a fun scavenger hunt and a bingo game at our entrances to guide you through the galleries. Our latest exhibition, Lost Realms of the Moundbuilders, also features a guide just for families.

Looking for other ways to hear from our staff? Check out our public programs calendar for in-person events. We’re also offering special in-person public tours on Wednesdays and weekends. These tours are limited to 10 people to accommodate social distancing in our small galleries.

Are you a teacher? Visit our Teacher Resources page, which includes our Culture Bridge: eLearning Across Asia and expanded Culture Case learning sites. We’re also adding new resources, such as virtual tours of our special exhibitions to bridge the BMA to your classroom. These new features will be available in November 2021.

We thank you for your patience and understanding, and we look forward to sharing with you the new and exciting ways that we are connecting our communities to the arts!
