Poetry at the Museum

Join us at the BMA for Poetry at the Museum, co-hosted by the Magic City Poetry Festival and sponsored by the Alabama State Council on the Arts. Celebrate the convergence of poetry and visual art as local talents Lauren Slaughter, Kanou Julien, and Miriam Calleja Shaw offer a unique tour, sharing their verses inspired by the museum’s collection. With three tour times at 1pm, 2pm, and 3pm, come enjoy an afternoon of artistry and spoken word. This event is free and open to all who wish to see the museum through the eyes of poets!
