Join us for an ArtBreak centered on our Nappy Roots exhibition, starting with a deep dive into Kerry James Marshall’s, “School of Beauty, School of Culture.” This thought-provoking work inspired the conception of our current exhibition and will be explored under the guidance of BMA Teaching Fellow, Jessica Harris.
Following this enlightening discussion, we’re honored to welcome LaShawn Hill of Crown Campaign Alabama. Hill will share insight into the pivotal Crown Act of 2022 and its potential impact on the state of Alabama, where it’s yet to be passed.
