Oval black jasper medallion with white relief profile portrait of Winston Churchill smoking a cigar (1874-1965) facing left. Winston Churchill was a British politician who was Prime Minister between 1940 and 1945 and again between 1951 to 1955. As Prime Minister, Churchill led Britain to Victory against Nazi Germany. He is well known for his famous speech "Never in the field of human conflict was so much owed by so many to so few"
Footed creamer of earthenware covered with a thick, opaque black glaze, with scroll handle and beak spout, the pear-shaped body covered with an applied pattern of leafage and berry decoration, with traces of gilding.
Large rectangular tablet of white jasper with "Dysart-green" jasper dip, with two floral swags supported by leopard heads and ribbons, with a trophy hanging in the center.
Small black basalt footed urn resting on a small square plinth decorated on each side with a molded pattern of ovals, the foot and stem engine turned and with a band of overlapping leaves at the edge, the lower body of the urn with graceful acanthus leaves extending upward and on each side a garland of leafy grape vines and bunches of grapes, the two handles are formed of satyr masks, whose conjoined horns curve up and attach to the lip of the vase, above the shoulder and on the neck the decoration is likewise engine turned, the conforming cover is also engine turned and has a ball finial (possibly not original).
