Central medallion-type quilt with the silhouette of the upper part of the Statue of Liberty in gray-blue fabric on a dark blue ground with a white medallion with the text, "GIVE ME YOUR TIRED YOUR POOR YOUR HUDDLED MASSES YEARNING TO BREATHE FREE THE WRETCHED REFUSE OF YOUR TEEMING SHORE SEND THESE THE HOMELESS TEMPEST TOST TO ME I RAISE MY TORCH BESIDE THE GOLDEN DOOR" after Emma Lazarus's 1883 sonnet "The New Colossus" and surrounded by the colorful figures of various Native people, enslaved Africans and immigrants hailing from all parts of the world, on either side are stripes of teal-blue fabric and across the top is a strip of light blue fabric, the backing is red and includes the embroidered dedication, "To my mother who taught me how to sew and quilt and to care about the tired, the poor, and the homeless."

Tall glass wine goblet with a shallow bowl of burgundy glass, the exterior of speckled light burgundy and white glass, the long stem, likewise with a white exterior, in the form of a stylized female without arms and with the two legs joining to form the lower portion of the stem, the round foot of clear glass, a burgundy glass "drip" emerges from the lip of the goblet and runs down the exterior of the bowl and stem to the female form where it divides into two drips.
