- Marks On the edge of the cover the Dublin harp mark; sovereign's head; and the maker's mark WN; and with the retailer's mark LAW. On the underside of the body the Dublin harp mark; sovereign's head; maker's mark WN; date letter e for 1825-1826; Hibernia; and with the retailer's mark LAW.
- Inscription Engraved on the side of the body an elaborate coat-of-arms with three stars and the motto below in a banner "virtus astra petit" (virtue strives for the stars).
