Modeled by Anita Synovec, Wedgwood

About 1969

Little is known about Anita Synovec’s work at Wedgwood. She was trained at the Cranbrook Academy of Arts in Detroit before joining Wedgwood as a studio potter in 1967. She remained at the factory only one year.

Most of Synovec’s work at Wedgwood was experimental and did not become part of regular Wedgwood production. She created a variety of abstract pieces that were more decorative than functional and employ a variety of glaze and decorative techniques.
