Ot-11 Although this anklet is in the Kutch style, it shares a common background with a pair of Rajasthani anklets also depicted on this site, in that the tribes in these regions were too poor to afford gold jewelry for dowries, and so created highly decorative silver. The anklet would have been one of a pair and was intended to adorn its wearer maybe only in a sitting position since it was too heavy to allow walking. Weight: 18.87 oz. (535.1 grams).
