Elegant, simple hot water urn of sterling silver with bright-cut engraving, urn-shaped with two elongated, reeded loop handles on a short stem with round foot mounted on a square plinth with four small ball feet, the frontal spigot with a carved tap, the cylindrical domed cover with a finial in the form of a covered urn, the body, plinth, cover, and spigot with beaded borders, the body decorated in bright-cut engraving with an oval reserve that has been left empty surmounted by a tied ribbon, below the lip a band of repeating diamond and floral motifs.
