A six-panel folding screen. The primary scenes on the front are palace scenes with many water features and bridges with many sons and laidies playing games of leisure done in painted ivory/bone. Clouds and some architectural details are picked out in back in painted gold lacquer. The main scene on each panel is fronted with glass. Above the main scene is a detailed carved dragon panel, same below. There is a bottom inset scene on each panel of carved flowers. The back of each panel is painted with two scenes of birds and flowers in colored lacquer.
