The woman, to the right of the altar which is placed in the center of the painting in the foreground, is lifting one child off the ground so that he may empty a basket onto the altar. An older child is standing to the left and placing flowers, which he is carrying in the fabric of his robe, on the altar. A basket with flowers is on the far left.
