Face jug of tan stoneware with two small ears on either side, two large almond-shaped eyes glazed blue and green, which sit below two oval looped handles on either side of the neck, the nose with prominent nostrils, two flat lips and five white teeth, the face incised with squiggly lines to resemble a beard below the lower lip and with additional squiggly lines on the cheeks, the face additionally highlighted in a brown glaze around the eyes and nose and which is runny on the right side, the handles highlighted in blue glaze which likewise runs down the sides.
