A well-dressed skeleton figure holds up scales to a crowd of bystanders with various expressions.
This black and white photograph represents sheep walking away from the viewer beside a river at the right of the image. A man on a road heards the sheep. There are more sheep to his left, walking alongside a stand of trees. The background is filled with trees of varying heights.

Stevens, a cloth merchant and art collector, is seen here wearing a wide white collar, luxurious cloak, and a ring on his right pinky finger. His right hand sits on his hip. This is from the Gillis Hendricx edition of the Iconography (Icones Principum Virorum Doctorum, Pictorum Chalcographorum Statuorum nec non Amatorum Pictoriae Artis Numero Centum), published between 1632-44.
