A double-gourd shaped vase. Upper and lower portion with a background of blue/purple that fades out at base of vase. Painted with five branches with yellow flowers (unidentified flower) and six butterflies in a spring setting. Raised gold decoration on veins of leaves, stamens of flowers and wings of butterflies. Upper portion decorated with four chevron floral designs equally spaced on blue ground. A dentated floral band around lip and around shoulder where spheres join. A worn, gilded dragon crawls in and out of the surface of the vase and the top of the first sphere. Cream-colored glaze on interior and on foot. Four character mark on foot.
Bowl with character "phuc" (good fortune) in well, floral meander on rim, lotus sprays, painted in underglaze-blue cobalt-oxide.
