Large quilt in a variation of the "Whig's Defeat" pattern, on a cream-colored cotton ground a grid of twelve squares each enclosed in a pattern of double bands of repeating nailhead, or dogtooth, motifs in red cotton, at each corner an eight-point star in alternating orange and red, in the center of each square a cream-colored diamond on light blue ground with half-circle notches at each corner highlighted by a band of like nailhead motifs also in red, the backing cream-colored cotton, edged in red.
Quilt with fourteen dogs and two frogs.
