This black and white photograph represents a number of people in an unidentifiable location (possibly a church). The bodies of five figures in the back row are captured, though their heads are outside of the frame of the image. In the front row there are four seated figures, all women. Each woman wears a dress or a top and skirt, and the second from the left—dressed in all white—holds a baby also in white. This woman’s mouth is open. A partial fifth figure in this row can be seen at the right of the image.

This image is created with black ink on paper. In it a woman stands in front of a fence, tending a pig. Behind the fence is a house with a porch and a tree with no leaves. The fence turns a corner, and on the street beyond the fence a man and a young child walk. Additional houses can be seen in the distance.
