Flag bears two green snakes, "veve" of Damballah. They flank a stylized heart referring to Erzulie Freda. Other symbols are the asson and cup, star, and bull's head which represents the "loa" Bossou.

A geometric pattern familiar from many global traditions--whether textiles like American quilts, Persian carpets, Laotian appliques, and Bhutanese kira or tiled walls and floors or woodwork, Amighi has here harnessed patterns into a metal-and-shadow sculpture. The tightly tessellated pattern gradually disintegrates both in its shadow and in its form. Work includes a light in addition to the metal and fiberglass mesh sculpture.
