A mountain man, probably a trapper, leads his horse down a steep incline. Across his saddle he balances his rifle, while he grips the back of his saddle with his right hand. His long straight hair falls from beneath a woolen hat.
This black and white photograph represents an expansive desert landscape. In the lower portion of the image there is a small, shallow pond iwth bushes or brush growing from it. Mountains rise in the distance.
This black and white photograph is printed adhered to an aluminum plate that is visible at the top of the sheet. There are six holes in the aluminum. In the image, two central figures stand in front of a draped studio backdrop, holding hands. At the right of the composition, the edge of the backdrop can be seen next to a tent pole. The female figure wears a headdress, a mask, and necklaces. The top of her body is nude, but she wears a belt holding drapery on her body. The male figure also wears a headdress and a mask. He holds a staff, and his costume covers a portion of his chest and attaches to a belt covering him with drapery.
