The 54th annual Ball, held on May 1 at the Museum, paid tribute to the Museum’s three Chairmen Emeriti—Margaret Gresham Livingston, Thomas N. Carruthers, Jr., and the late William M. Spencer III. These three chairmen “have dreamed and achieved monumental goals that have changed the Museum in profound ways,” said David Hezlep, cochair of the Decades Committee along with Maggie and Will Brooke. “They continue to influence our future success.”
The black-tie gala included cocktails, a culinary dinner experience by Frank and Pardis Stitt, and big band music and dancing by the Malemen Band. Mandy Majerik of Hothouse Design created an atmosphere of simple elegance. The evening raised $299,501 in support of the institution’s education programs and outreach efforts. This is the second highest net for this event.
Appreciation goes out to all of our patrons for their generous support and participation in the life of the Museum.
