The Birmingham Museum of Art offers free guided and self-guided tours of its collections and special exhibitions for youth and adults. Guided tours are led by Museum Teaching Fellows, specially trained college students from Birmingham area colleges and universities.
Below are our options for booking summer tours. Interested in booking a tour for the fall? Our new site will go live on August 21. You may let us know your interested fall dates before our site launch by emailing us at [email protected].
Guided Tours
Hour-long guided tours are available throughout the week:
- Group tours for up to 60 are available on Wednesdays
- Group tours for up to 60 are available on Fridays
- Smaller capacity tours for up to 20 are available on Saturdays
Self-Guided Tours
Want direction but rather explore the galleries with your group on your own? We have created a wide array of print and digital activities to maximize your visit at the Museum.
- These tours can accommodate up to 120 on any open Museum day
Please note that tours must be booked at least two weeks in advance, and we ask for 24 hours notice for any cancellations.
