Hearts for Art Returns to the BMA

/ Kids and Families - Programs

Ready to fall in love with art? For the third year in a row, the Birmingham Museum of Art will participate in the Hearts for Art project throughout the week leading up to Valentine’s Day.

From February 7 through 14, visitors may pick up paper hearts at the Museum’s front desk and leave them by their favorite works of art while they walk around the galleries. As works of art accumulate ‘likes,’ visitors will be able to see which pieces in our collection are the most beloved. Hearts are available at both Museum entrances.

Want to enter to win a lunch date for two to the Museum’s award-winning restaurant, Oscar’s Cafe? Share a photo of your artwork crushes with the paper heart on social media and tag #heartsforart and @bhammuseum. We’ll repost some of our favorite shots!

Hearts for Art began seven years ago at the Oakland Museum of California and the Columbus Museum of Art. Since then, museums across the country, including the BMA, have joined in. We can’t wait to see what works are your favorites this year!
