Drop by the BMA for a midday art fix! Join UAB student Mackenzie Meade for an in-depth discussion of Robert Motherwell’s Lyric Suite on view in the American galleries. As co-curator of the installation Drawing with Color, Mackenzie will discuss Motherwell’s practice of automatic drawing, or what he called “doodling.” She will also explore Motherwell’s many art world relationships and how these encounters helped shape the Lyric Suite.
