Picturing Histories

Join us in the galleries for an ArtBreak with Maggie Crosland, PhD, The Fariss Gambrill Lynn and Henry Sharpe Lynn Curator of European Art. Maggie will discuss a recent collection rotation she curated, Picturing Histories: European Works on Paper from the BMA’s Collection, focusing on artists who used drawing and printmaking to engage some of the most compelling religious, political, social, and cultural issues of the day through the lens of history. Maggie will share the inside stories behind several works of art, and what these works tell us about European art.
