Enjoy the crisp autumn air in the Sculpture Garden for a hands-on, family-friendly program detailing how botanical illustrations have shaped both art and science. Then, we’ll create our own nature drawings using the stunning foliage right here in our Red Mountain Garden Club Memorial Garden.

This Saturday, join our Museum staff for a program dedicated to the beauty and function of scientific doodles!

Meet in the Main Lobby on the First Floor at 10:30 am.

  • This tour is FREE
  • No need to book ahead, just drop by
  • Tours max out at 20 people
  • Tour lasts approximately 30 minutes

Nature Drawing

This is a large wire sculpture of a horse. It is almost life size. the color of the wire is a dark silver metal, almost black. All for of the horse's hooves are on the ground. The head of the horse is looking straight forward and the bushy tail is pointing down. The horses main is formed using small wires formed into squares and goes from the top of its head down to the its shoulders.
