At various times in the late 19th and early 20th centuries—usually coinciding with major commemorations such as the 100th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence in 1876 or the 200th anniversary of George Washington’s birth in 1932—Americans have looked at back at life in early America, sparking a nostalgic revival of interest in the colonial past. Often more a product of legend and myth-making than historical fact, Graham C. Boettcher,Ph.D. will discuss how the Colonial Revival manifested itself in fascinating ways in painting, sculpture, and the decorative arts.

Lunch will be served for $13.50 per person. Click here to see your options for our lunch menu. To RSVP and reserve a lunch, please contact please contact Andrew Farrell at afarrell@artsbma.rangeprojects.com or 205.297.8073 by Wednesday, November 5.
