Please note that costs apply for purchase of tapas and/or cocktails.
5-9PM: Tapas and cocktails in the café.
6PM: Tour of All the Colors of the Rainbow: Uzbekistan Ikats from the Collection of Peggy Slappey led by Dr. Donald Wood, Curator of Asian Art.
7PM: re:Memory Birmingham science talk and dance performance beginning in Steiner Auditorium followed by a performance in the Main Lobby.
About re:Memory Birmingham: Have you ever wondered why the ability to play the piano can survive 60 years when faces can fade so easily? How do we remember? Why do we forget? Join re:Memory, a Birmingham-based collective of musicians, dancers, artists, and neuroscientists, as they portray memories in a performance that externalizes the stories of the mind and processes of the brain. Our project explores the psychological and neurobiological processes of memory storage and recall. Join us in a playground for your mind AND brain.
