For this Craft Tuesday, you will learn how to successfully design an image, experiment with linoleum block carving techniques, and print your image on different surfaces.
We’re inspired by the work of printmaker Clare Leighton in one of our latest exhibitions, An Epic of Earth and Water: Clare Leighton and the New England Industries Series. This class is taught by illustrator and comics artist, Hannah Adamson, who received a BFA in Printmaking from the University of Montevallo. Every Craft Tuesday art kit will come with a special cocktail mix from a local bar inspired by the class (alcohol not included). Join us to master the art of block printing!
Join our live-streamed classes this Spring to explore your creativity while developing artistic skills and learning more about the BMA’s collection—all from home. No prior experience is necessary. We will provide art kits to accompany our intimate classes on a variety of topics. All materials are provided and the cost is included in the registration fee.
