All Night // Food Trucks

What better way to celebrate a night out on the Museum than a sampling of sweet and savory munchies from local food trucks? So head on downstairs, where both the party and the festivities continue, and curb those late-night cravings while enjoying the myriad culinary offerings of Birmingham!

  • Cantina on Wheels
  • Shindigs Catering
  • Earth and Stone Wood Fired Pizza
  • Cottage Crepes
  • Heavenly Donut Co.
  • MEAT & GREET Pig Roast! Presented by Jones Valley Teaching Farm and local butcher Will Drake
The fine folks at Jones Valley Teaching Farm and our favorite Birmingham butcher Will Drake will be on-site roasting up two Tennessee heritage breed pigs for an old-fashioned pig roast. After four months abroad as a butcher’s apprentice in Ireland, Drake came back to the South with a revived creative energy and a more-skilled understanding of his craft. Expect top-notch side dishes and local brews to accompany the porcine delights.

All Night // DJ Sexpanther

Oscar’s Café // Sexpanther began DJ-ing over 15 years ago and has always specialized in digging deep into eclectic, progressive music both new and old. A music conservatory graduate, he approaches his sets and mixes as the creation of a new composition. Depending on the context you could be just as likely to find him DJ-ing lounge music at a pool, tropical house in an art gallery, or his signature brand of “psychedelic disco” to a dance-floor. Expect blissed out vibes. Expect to smile. Expect Sexpanther.

All Night // Bromberg’s Giveaway

Main Lobby // Want a chance to win the stunning pieces on display in the lobby? Of course you do! Just snap a photo (or several!) to share on Facebook, Instagram, or Twitter, and tag with both #ArtOnTheRocks and #Brombergs for a chace to win. Winners will be chosen based on creativity—so remember to ham it up!

All Night //Junior Patrons VIP Tent

Junior Patrons’ VIP Tent (Members Only) // Junior Patron members can be found in a prime location, in the VIP tent right next to the band! Become a Junior Patron member to enjoy free food and drinks, including Back Forty Beer Company’s craft beer.

7:45 & 8:45PM // DANCEe

Contemporary Galleries // Come celebrate the Birmingham Contemporary Dance Company, DANCEe, with more daring, vibrant, and ground-breaking modern dance. The new work See You brings an emotional depth encased in a party-life aesthetic, combined with an athletic physicality you’re sure to love. Come delight in this performance!

8:15 & 9:15PM // Performance Art

European Galleries // Atlanta-based artists Erin Michelle Vaiskauckas and Mike Stasny present an interactive and performative sculpture exploring creative movement through physical limitation. Vaiskauckas and Stasny respond spontaneously to their environment with a childlike intuitive enthusiasm and a scholarly focus.

9:45 & 10:15PM // Acts of Rebellion powered by WordSpeak

Third Floor Jemison Galleries // In the shadows of the physical and intellectual rebellions that were the Amistad and the founding of Tuskegee Institute, as depicted in Rising Up: Hale Woodruff’s Murals at Talladega College, and in the wake of the present-day outcry for justice from Ferguson to Charleston, three of the nation’s most powerful performance poets show that even a small poem can change the world.

10PM // The Shadowboxers

Upper Terrace //Sing and sway along with Atlanta-based band The Shadowboxers, who met in college and formed a dedicated group committed to blending old and new sounds. Whether you’re into soul or pop, rock or indie, the rhythmic, exploratory melodies of The Shadowboxers are something you won’t want to miss!
