Culture Cases

Take your students on a trip around the world with the Birmingham Museum of Art’s Culture Case program! Culture Cases include objects from diverse regions, customs, and periods to create fun and exciting hands-on arts and culture learning experiences.

Each case has a corresponding virtual interactive Culture Case to provide additional digital resources, videos, coloring sheets, and lesson plans connected to the Alabama Course of Study Standards.

These virtual interactive cases are a great addition to the in-classroom experience or provide a way for students to access Culture Cases from outside of the classroom.

Checkout Policy

Culture Case checkout is currently suspended until March, 2023.

We just kickstarted a new phase of updating and improving our cases to bring them in line with new ways of teaching from our collection and in the classroom!

Starting in January, Culture Cases will be available for a two-week check out. Each check out is free. For more information on the BMA’s Culture Case program or to reserve a case, contact the Education Department at [email protected] or 205-254-2571.
