Create and Color

We at the BMA have a great time putting together exhibitions for the community to enjoy. We want to share some of that fun with you.

What is an art exhibition? An exhibition can be a group of works of art on display that:

    • Share the same subject (landscapes, portraits, animals, religion)
    • Are by the same artist
    • Are collected by the same person or family
    • Are made in the same place (school, town, state, country, or continent!)
    • Or maybe something a little more fun like works of art about
      • Best friends
      • Superheroes
      • Cartoon characters
      • Famous memes

Download the coloring template below and create your own mini exhibition. Follow the instructions and let’s see what your dream exhibition wall would look like!

Instructions

  1. Download exhibition template above. You can either print the sheet or color it digitally (using Markup, Photoshop, Procreate, Microsoft Paint, or any coloring app on your phone).
  2. Think of a theme for your exhibition. Maybe you really like shoes or you want to put together works of art that remind you of a vacation. It can be whatever you want!
  3. Give your exhibition a title.
  4. Write your exhibition title and a brief description of the exhibition in the gray square in the center. Be sure to include your name so we know who curated this outstanding exhibition!
  5. Choose 5 works of art that match your theme and place them in the frames and on the pedestal on the exhibition template. You can either copy and paste actual works of art from the BMA’s collection, photos of works of art in your home, or draw in your own original art. Be creative!
  6. Pick a wall color and color the frames if you want.
  7. Post it and tag the BMA (@BhamMuseum) or submit using the form below.

Share it with us! We will share submissions in a post on our website and social media.
