The carved arm of the halibut hook is 10" alder (?) and represents a side view of a heron with neck folded. The vendor stated it was a cormorant, but I doubt this. The barb arm is 10". No barb.
To the loop is attached a string of beads on a buckskin thong. There are twenty three spherical blue, eight spherical red, four large blue angular, six small blue angular; one piece of pearl from a knife handle
Red felt ground backed with black cloth. Floral designs in white, blue, yellow and a rusted metallic bead. Edge with black cloth and white beads. Two brass snaps.
