This black and white photograph shows two windows on a building covered with ivy. The window on the left is open, and its white curtains are parted. The window on the right is closed, as are its curtains. There are three small plants on the ledge of the window on the right.
This gelatin silver print depicts multiple and over lapping mechanical objects or machine parts throughout the composition. Some objects are dark and opaque while others are light and transparent. In the foreground, several circular pieces surround the bent semi-circular pieces that are seen in the middle of the image. Inside those pieces there is a darkened continuous spiral. The background mimics this spiral pattern in a lighter and transparent contrast.
