This painting in black ink on light-colored paper represents a rectangle--roughly the shape of the sheet of paper, painted just within its margins. The rectangle is painted in a thick line. At the top it has sharper corners, while the corners at the bottom are curved. The bottom edge of the rectangle also has a brushstroke protruding into the center of the shape, possibly where the artist concluded the a stroke.
