Three partridges are depicted in profile. They stand on ground that is scattered with patches of grass. In the background are faint impressions of mountains. The two larger partridges on the left contain blue, dark red, brown, and white feathers on their body. Their stomachs mimic a striped pattern in black and white. Two long feathers grow from the partridges' heads and drape backwards nearly touching their backs. The third partridge on the right contains a brown feathered topside and an underside mixed with brown and white feathers. Two short black feathers grow outwards from the partridge's head.
