Oil flask of black basalt in the Greek lekythos shape with bulbous body that tapers to a small round foot, loop handle attached to the narrow neck and bowl at the top with a small opening to the body and no pouring spout, on one side decorated in red enamel with the figure of a seated classical figure holding a dish in one hand and a lotus flower in the other, the neck, upper rim and handle edged in red, with a band of floral elements just below the lip and down the handle, the other side is left blank.
