An abstract composition made up of three squares layered onto one another. The top square is crimson. Behind it is pale red then brown.
This drawing in graphite on paper represents a tangle of roots that are represented without any indication of a broader natural setting. Within the roots there is also graphite shading, and there is shading around the root system, as well. Overall the impression of the composition is abstract.
