Tulip-shaped silver goblet with beaded round foot resting on a square base, the base engraved on one side with the date MDCCLXXXIII and on the other "Wm Hole to Jas Luke Esqr in token of regard & esteem for his candour & integrity," the main body engraved on one side with a crane on a "chapeau gules turned up ermine" – traditionally the emblem of the Crane family – the interior covered with a gold wash.
Cream jug of buff-colored caneware with applied dark gray-green stoneware relief decoration in the Darwin pattern, the body with a design of vertical fern fronds, alternating larger and smaller, and whorls of the marsh plant mare's tail, below the lip a band with the stem of the same plant, with loop handle that is angled at the top, and elongated spout.
