This black and white photo was taken from behind a lunch counter, with the camera facing three women sitting at the counter. The woman at the right of the image wears a checked dress and pearls around her neck. She looks down at her beverage. The woman at the center of the image wears a striped dress and pearls in her hair. She looks at the camera while she eats her food. The woman at the left wears a dark-colored garment and looks down into her handbag.
In this circular, black and white print, a single figure carries a filled sack over a makeshift wooden bridge toward a two story watermill building with a water wheel on the side. The river powering the wheel runs along the bottom right of the print, while fields undulate twoard a distant group of buildings beyond the figure carrying the sack. At the bottom of the print is a small still life with implements related to grain milling--two ears of corn, a winnowing basket, a large sack, a basket, and a scoop.
