Single-weave river cane storage basket with square bottom and round body, neck, and mouth. Body of basket has dark diagonal bands; neck and shoulder of basket have bands of dark brown and red.
Old. Ragged edge. Top plain twisted.
Made of red flannel trimmed in black with a bird and a floral design done in white opal yellow, navy blue, blue, light blue metallic gold, dark green and yellow green and myrtle green; brown beads of small size; the bird is in now wise symmetrical, wings sprawled out, feet to one side and head twisted to the other; there is a heart in beads on the breast.
