Large, heavy oval portrait medallion of light blue jasper with blue jasper dip and white relief, with the portrait of Sir Isaac Newton (1643-1727), English mathematician, astronomer and physicist, in classical drapery facing almost front, behind him in white relief Newton's comet of 1680, the first comet discovered by telescope.
Caneware conceit (shape 419 in Shape Book) in the form of an oval, tiered cake with sides made of lady fingers and white stoneware applied relief that simulates icing in a design of beading within arched and interlaced borders, on the top an intertwined laurel wreath with musical trophies inside, with a solid flat base with a single large firing hole.
Bust in profile left in Prussian general's uniform.
