Large, rectangular quilt in the "Pine Burr" pattern, the official quilt pattern of Alabama, made of 23,850 square pieces of colorful cotton and polyester fabric, folded and sewn layer on layer to create the textural effect of a pinecone, pieced together in a grid of 99 blocks with circular patterns in the center comprised of triangular elements, edged in red.
